I have many friends who enjoy/enjoyed their high school experience here, I personally needed to be with more kids. As a student with learning disabilities, the school did a great job helping me stay on track, and working with my schedule. ![]() Pilgrim School definitely was a great introduction to Los Angeles County, and Southern California for me coming from the East Coast. If you are looking for a school with a very welcoming community for your children, I would definitely recommend this one. I would definitely recommend this school for elementary and junior- high school. By my first week at the school they all knew me which I didn’t have at any of the other schools I attended. The faculty and administration were so helpful to me as a new student. I overall loved the experience the school provided for me. Middle School Student: I attended Pilgrim School from 7-8th grade. #15 Best Private K-12 Schools in Los Angeles Area It is in West Los Angeles and the facility used to be a warehouse, so there is little natural light in most classrooms. The upper school (6-12) does NOT have a gym/cafeteria/yard etc. The funding is endless, parents are very involved, and they absolutely prepare students for college. The project-based learning helped me become a great critical thinker and I learned how to make a great presentation! The sports were lacking, but that is because Wildwood is an art/STEM school, not an athletic school. I never had a class that was larger than 20 and the teachers gave personalized time to each student. The teachers are not paid enough, but they were so passionate and lovely. There is little diversity due to the massive price tag, so we were two of the few people of color at school. From second to twelfth grade I had an amazing experience here.
